Britische Panzer Rollen wieder ...seit 1986.
Auf die Frage , welche britischen Death-Bands es gibt
werden meist folgende 4 Vertreter genannt:
NAPALM DEATH , BENEDICTION , CARCASS und BOLT THROWER.
Letztere stehen für tonnenschwere Riffs , treibendes Drumming und der Attitüde bevorzugt in kleinen Clubs zu spielen und Open Airs zu vermeiden xD.
Seit dem Summerbreeze auftritt letzten Sommer
weiß ich erst , wie intensiv diese Musik sein kann.
BOLT THROWER auf Platte zündete nach diesem Auftritt nochmal richtig.

Habe mir vor 1-3 Tagen die 2. Platte
"Realm of Chaos" angehört , auf diesem Album gibt es noch den ein oder anderen Blast Beat und die Rythmen erinnern teilweise an Grindcore , es lässt sich aber schon ahnen , in welche Richtung sich die Band entwickeln würde.
Ausserdem ist die Stimmung wirklich düster. Der Sound ist
, ich würde sagen, >in Ordnung< .

Bolt Thrower werden sich kommenden Sommer
in die Festung "Studio" verschanzen um
die Artellerie Geschosse neu zu gießen :
"First of all, BOLT THROWER would like to wish their crew, friends,
followers and supporters all the best for 2008!
If you're wondering why there hasn't been a lot of BT news for a while,
that's because we are still in writing mode for the new album, which we
plan to record in the summer. And during the break between the recording
and mixing of the album, we will play our only festival of the year.
So, we're very happy to announce that the festival we have chosen to
play this summer is the Party.San Open Air in Bad Berka, Germany on
7-9th August. Tickets are only 39.60 Euros, including parking and
camping, and the festival is capped at only 10,000 visitors, so
considering this and the already killer line-up, it looks like it will
sell out in advance. So, we suggest that people who want to buy tickets
on the day, should check the availability before they set off, to avoid
the disappointment a lot of people had at last year's sold-out Summer
Breeze Festival, where they got turned away.
We look forward to seeing you there!"

britische deathmetalbands sind ja im allgemeinen sehr grindcore verbunden 
und carcass und napalm death würd ich eh als grind zählen weil die deathetalalben weniger bedeutsam als die grindalben sind (in meinen augen)
aber bolt thrower bolzen auf jedenfall sehr geil^^
langsam und schwer rollen die riffs übereinen hinweg und brechen jeden knochen einzeln

Ich kenne auch nur die Those Once Loyal, aber die finde ich sehr geil. At First Light und When Cannons Fade hauen alles weg.

No Grolsch, No Glory!
Bolt Thrower has always had a special bond with the Atak Club in Enschede / Holland. The small 300 capacity club was one of the first to start booking extreme bands in the late 80’s. It was famous for it’s out of control moshpits, stagedivers jumping off the balcony and crowd surfing wheelchairs! It’s the only club Bolt Thrower have played on every tour in the last 20 years, 11 times in total, a true cult club and a real home from home for us.
Sadly in 2008, after being battered beyond repair over the years, the old lady had to close. Atak gave Bolt Thrower the honour to play the last show ever there, which we celebrated with 300 guests as a special free show.
In 2009 Atak moved to a new building and now we would like to celebrate our first show in the new Atak with another special free show. After talking to the guys from Atak and our favourite beer brewery Grolsch, who are also from Enschede, we came up with the following:
The show will be on April 29th, and Asphyx, Rotting Christ and Dew-Scented will be joining us on stage. But, to stop people just ordering tickets and then not turning up, we will be asking for a 5 Euro “deposit”. Then at the show you will get a special “No Grolsch, No Glory” Bolt Thrower T-Shirt and a Flip Top bottle of Grolsch beer!
